Kung Fu Panda 4

Description

Comedy icon Jack Black reprises his role as Po, the world’s most unlikely kung fu master, in the hilarious, action-packed new chapter of DreamWorks Animation’s beloved franchise: Kung Fu Panda 4. After three perilous adventures and defeating world-class villains with his incredible courage and martial arts prowess, Po, the Dragon Warrior (Golden Globe nominee Jack Black), is now destined to take a break. Specifically, he's chosen to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. This presents a couple of obvious challenges. Firstly, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet. Secondly, he must find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new esteemed position.
To complicate matters, a wicked sorceress named Chameleon (Oscar® winner Viola Davis), a tiny lizard capable of shapeshifting into any creature, has set her sights on Po’s Staff of Wisdom. This staff would allow her to re-summon all the master villains Po has defeated in the spirit realm. Po will need some help and finds it in the form of Zhen (Golden Globe winner Awkwafina), a crafty, quick-witted thief and corsac fox. Though Zhen gets under Po’s fur, her skills prove invaluable. Together, this comedic odd-couple duo must protect the Valley of Peace from Chameleon’s grasp. Along the way, Po discovers that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places.
The film features the voice talents of returning stars, including Academy Award® winner Dustin Hoffman as Kung Fu master Shifu; James Hong (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Po’s adoptive father Mr. Ping; Academy Award® nominee Bryan Cranston as Po’s birth father Li; and Emmy Award nominee Ian McShane as Tai Lung, Shifu’s former student and arch-nemesis. New to the ensemble is Oscar® winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once), playing Han, the leader of the Den of Thieves.
Kung Fu Panda 4 is directed by Mike Mitchell (DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls, Shrek Forever After) and produced by Rebecca Huntley (DreamWorks Animation’s The Bad Guys). The film’s co-director is Stephanie Ma Stine (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power). The Academy Award®-nominated Kung Fu Panda (2008) became DreamWorks Animation’s highest-grossing original animated film and launched a franchise that has earned over $1.8 billion at the global box office.
